Hasn't the American op supposedly got to the root of the problem? Am I stupid to be optimistic that he can get back to his best?

Some of those goals above were downright good.
I guess only time will tell on that. It would seem he is in better shape than last season, after all he got through rehab with further injury But on a serious note if he can be a good as he was before the problems of last season then we'll have a fearful front line.

Blind optimism, well there is no doubt he has talent. Can he be as good as before, I reckon so.. I wouldn't consider myself stupid to think so, nor would I you

and has for the goals some of those were top draw - we'll be seeing a few more of those I would think.

Sublime skills. We're so used to him as injured we haven't considered him as a potential asset to our campaign. Bring him on!

I am sure he'll be an asset. If he can keep injury free Sturridge will play a huge part in our season - The goals he can add will be massive for us this campaign.

I hope we're looking for the next Sturridge too. Could that be Ojo?

The young lad is talented that's for sure. If he can continue developing as he is now he could well be, only time will tell.

For me, again that season he had with Suarez was, next to the Suarez some of the best goals i have ever seen in any shirt let alone Liverpool, he contributes, he scores with both feet, he scores with his head, he can beat a man, he has heart, hes strong and he can score utterly brilliant world class goals ... isnt he the fasted Liverpool player to reach 50 goals .... FFS criminally underrated ... yeah hes good .. no hes not ****ing good is he is ****ing unbelievable .. Augero is going through a purple patch .. But when Sturridge was last fit, he was a much better player than Augero

Seems Aguero has been going through a purple patch for about 6 or 7 years now

In 13 seasons he has scored more than 20 goals three times .... couple seasons ago he scored 12 .. and went about 10 games without hitting the back of the net .. Sure hes a great player but for me hes not on the same level as Suarez, Messi, Ronaldo hes in the same group of players I would firmly put sturridge in

You are talking league goals there though, in all competitions in the last 8 seasons he Aguero has scored 27 or more goals on 5 occasions.

Scoring 20+ league goals is not as common as alot of people seem to think. In the history of the 38 game PL season, only on 47 occasions has a player scored 20 or more league goals, and only 10 players have done it on more than one occasion and Aguero is one of them. The others are Shearer (5 times), Henry (5 times), van Nistelrooy (4 times), Hasselbaink, Drogba, Rooney, Tevez, van Persie, Aguero and Suarez (twice each). Christiano Ronaldo managed it only once in his time in the PL. Of our players Suarez did it twice, Fowler did it once (in a 38 game season and once in a 42 game season), Torres and Sturridge did it once each. Owen never got 20 league goals.

Whether that puts him in the same catagory as Sturridge or Ronaldo I don't know
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Aguero is class he really is, I think Sturridge could be seen in the same bracket as him but he needs to keep himself fit, he's got all the talent in the world but it's no use if he's perennially injured.

(If you're at one of the supposed big football nations). Adaptability? Ability to play in a variety of positions with ease? Skill? Technique? Pace?

He has all of those. The only thing he doesn't have is a good fitness record. If that wasn't the case, everyone would be rating him ahead of Torres.
I think to be considered world class, you need to have proved yourself beyond the domestic competitions - ie Champions League or World Cup.

You were talking sense until this point when instant gibber kicked in. He is not even the best striker to kick a ball let alone player.

There are many players ahead of Suarez:

Gerrard, Messi, Pele, Fat Argie bloke, Eusébio to name but a few

Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.
