Anyways here is the stats over the last 5 seasons, from all competitions from transfermarkt. This doesn't include internationals which Aguero has 29 goals for Argentina & Sturridge has 5 goals for England.
Sturridge:
10/11:
Goals: 12
Assists: 1
11/12:
Goals: 13
Assists: 6
12/13:
Goals: 13
Assists: 6
13/14:
Goals: 25
Assists: 9
14/15:
Goals: 5
Assists: 2
Aguero:
10/11:
Goals: 27
Assists: 7
11/12:
Goals: 30
Assists: 12
12/13:
Goals: 17
Assists: 7
13/14:
Goals: 28
Assists: 14
14/15:
Goals: 32
Assists: 9
Anyways, Sturridge is a top quality striker & it will be massive for LFC if we can get him back fit and firing. Super player
For what it's worth Aguero edges it for me but there's not a great deal in it and Sturridge is a lot better than most think. Still ridiculously underrated. Many non LFC fans would still have Welbeck in the England side ahead of him FFS
It's mental. Sturridge when fit is an absolutely brilliant centre forward and he walks back into the team for me (assuming he's fit and at the same level as before).
Welbeck nearly always does a good job for England - "Welbz" (), Sturridge and Walcott should be Englands front three - no obvious superstars but an effective highly mobile attack.
I'm not religious but I may well be praying throughout his return game.
The same Gerrard also said the Joe Cole can do anything Messi can do. So let's not read into his comments about a captain bigging his fellow team mates up.
Suarez isn't in that group. For Me, Ronaldo & Messi are miles away from everyone else. Suarez and Aguero are in that group below Messi & Ronaldo and IMO Sturridge is certainly not in that group yet. I'm not misunderstanding anything I just think that although Sturridge is a quality player, he's not at Aguero's level. I very much doubt anyone outside a very small minority of LFC supporters would say otherwise.
What else does he have to do to get up there with them 2? I think he is definitely up there with those 2. Althoufgh i agree dont think you can put Sturridge up with Aguero quite yet as he needs to prove it over a longer period.

Suarez is incredible but if can score 60 odd goals for about 4 or 5 seasons in a row, then he'll be up there. Ronaldo & Messi are freaks of nature.
That's a £100m front line right there. ****ing weep Man Utd.
Stick Coutinho in behind that three and we really mean biscuits
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
