It was an article in the Mirror that suggested November. I'll find it when I get a moment.

I was thinking perhaps I was being a bit on the optimistic side when I posted it, should have gone for 2035 instead, he might just be running by then!

will be interesting to see how the club deal with his return if he gets injured soon after he starts playing again.

They have invested a lot in terms of pulling him out of the limelight and getting him the best treatment available (which you'd assume they would do anyway for a prized asset) and you'd maybe think its not a good long term investment having a player so fragile on the books if he does break down again

My general belief is that players are almost always rushed back too soon. We should give Sturridge as long as we can.

He was reintroduced last year to a functioning team in decent form and he still struggled on a personal level. I certainly wouldn't rush him back this year, more so if we are playing poorly and expect him to turn things around.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Reminded me of the Bobo episode of the Simpsons. Waits for Gareth Bale comment

Wonder if he'll sneak onto the bench on Saturday?

I think last year he was reintroduced whilst still not properly over the issue he's now had sorted. They hoped not to operate again as he'd be out for a Lengthy time but had no choice in the end.

Bottom line is if he is now over those issues and the problems causing him to pick up frequent niggles, we will have ourselves a player who's not too far away from being world class if he comes back to the form he showed in 13/14.

Imagine the boost that will give the team. I'm dreaming but if we win at Old Trafford and then Danny comes back firing we could be looking at a good season.
                        Forwards.......

Yeah, he really needs to be slowly introduced to the first team again. I'd put him in the reserve games for a while and would resist the urge to play him for as long as possible until we're sure he's right.
