He's not being rushed, he's been running in training for nearly two months now and full contact training for at least 2 weeks. Its always a gamble with him cos of his record. Only way he gets match fit is playing matches, He'll do 60 today and go from there. Hopefully not playing in the midweek games.

Sturridge is a bit of a special case to be fair. Getting him mins is crucial alright but considering what has happened and how much pressure Rodgers is under, it does seem a bit of a risk "starting him" without giving him a few mins here and there in the latter part of teams when teams are tired.Originally posted by G View PostHe's not being rushed, he's been running in training for nearly two months now and full contact training for at least 2 weeks. its a big roll of the dice for brendan, very high risk.
even if sturridge has looked good in training there is a big difference when other players are going at it full throttle. not an ideal way to handle fsg's prize asset...
if this backfires then brendan will be packing his bags.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

If it were me I'd get him running hard in training, which I imagine he already is and bring him on around the 60 min mark for at least the next 3-4 games. Either that or put him in the reserves so he can build his fitness up there, again bring him on second half only for a few matches and then bring him into the first team.
So concerned about him breaking down. I'm trying to remain positive with him but it's hard with his injury record, he's vitally important to us.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

when ingsinho ran on to the through ball from moreno and sturridge was running up hoping for a pass his legs looked like they were in slow motion and the tank was empty.removing all the weak links makes us stronger

I like Sturridge think he's absolutely lethal but better than AgueroOriginally posted by Fredo View PostAguero? He's better than Aguero on his day. Has more natural ability. He just needs to stay fit.
Rose tinted spectacles and all that.
He's not far behind tbf, he needs to stay injury free and do it regularly without Suarez. He’s here! I *know* he’s here! That’s him, I’m telling you that’s him! You hear me? I’m telling you it’s *Keyser Soze*!
