Suarez is the polar opposite of Danny. That man was practically indestructible. Amazing resilience given that everyone tried to kick the ****e out of him every week. I think some people are just born with that sort of resilience. Although I am sure there is a mental component to that as well.

Sturridge's contract may not be strictly based on appearances/injuries, but it was reported to be performance/incentive-based. He's not hitting incentives if he's not playing, so that should lessen the hit on the wage bill.

Exactly ...And that's why Klopp is getting screwed in all the season long player loans

If 150k a week is the ceiling I'd love to know what the basic is. I'd guess 100k myself. £5.2m a year for playing almost no football.

The only thing that I can think of that would make any sense (and yet it makes no sense some will say!) is to loan him in January and buy a proper fit goal scorer. If he shows his fitness is sustained then bring him back, if not then sell him for whatever can be got.
Why would any club buy him with his injury record? He would be harder to shift than Borini

Can see him retiring due to injuries. Very unfortunate because he has the talent to be a top 5 world striker.

He's 26 had some bad injuries but this current one we know little about. Talk of retirement is nuts.

Time to go balls out for Aubameyang in the summer.

Not specifically this current injury! But I can see it happening at the end of his contract if he doesn't overcome them.

Fluid on the knee was something that Flanagan suffered earlier this year and it ended up needing surgery from which he's still not recovered from.

we have to treat the daniel sturridge situation with calmness and without anger. If he's fit its a bonus and he can be involved, if he isnt we should have other options so that we dont miss him.

He should be 3rd choice striker behind benteke plus one more, then we have ings and origi. We need another quality centre forward up front to give us more competition and additional threat.

we cant sell him because his wages are too high and nobody will take a chance and give us 15m for the guy. He has a major international tournament coming up so he will want to be playing regularly and scoring regularly because lets face it as things stand either rooney or kane will start ahead of him next summer.

Its like the harry kewell sitution over again. whenever kewell played he was a threat, but he was out for most of his lfc career.
