If 150k a week is the ceiling I'd love to know what the basic is. I'd guess 100k myself. £5.2m a year for playing almost no football.

What the hell can the club do with Sturridge? If he is fit he is invaluable but if he isn't then what's the point? Would anyone take a punt on him after the last year? The only thing that I can think of that would make any sense (and yet it makes no sense some will say!) is to loan him in January and buy a proper fit goal scorer. If he shows his fitness is sustained then bring him back, if not then sell him for whatever can be got.

Why would any club buy him with his injury record? He would be harder to shift than Borini

we have to treat the daniel sturridge situation with calmness and without anger. If he's fit its a bonus and he can be involved, if he isnt we should have other options so that we dont miss him.

He should be 3rd choice striker behind benteke plus one more, then we have ings and origi. We need another quality centre forward up front to give us more competition and additional threat.

we cant sell him because his wages are too high and nobody will take a chance and give us 15m for the guy. He has a major international tournament coming up so he will want to be playing regularly and scoring regularly because lets face it as things stand either rooney or kane will start ahead of him next summer.

Its like the harry kewell sitution over again. whenever kewell played he was a threat, but he was out for most of his lfc career.
