Who's in this fabled inner circle then that know he refuses to play if not a 100% ? Or is it more likely to be a disgruntled opinion

Really? Where?Originally posted by Harv View PostDreams crushed. He's a footballer refusing to play because he's not 100%. He's crushing his own dreams.
Its quite well published in the "in the know" circles that this guy is soft as fresh dog **** and refuses to play if he's not feeling it. Look at all the little hints Klopp drops in his pressers. He has no idea why Studge isn't playing. He's been cleared by the physios for weeks.
We don't need more candy ass bitches at this club. Klopp must want to rip the guys head off by now. He's the most talented player we've got and he's a ****ing pansy.*Except Michael, who died.

That would be pointless. Nobody's going to buy him and pay him the wages he's on now.Originally posted by Nicey View PostIts becoming increasingly hard to argue with this ... A few ex players have hinted this is the case, if it is then he can ply his trade somewhere else .. I am all but fed up with the ongoing saga I mean seriously since he signed for Liverpool he has been injured for an astonishing three hundred and seventy ****ing nine days, missing a whopping 67 games ... since 2008 .. he has only ever had 2 injury free seasons, he has ben injured every season since 2011 and the time spent out is increasing it seems, knees, ankles, thighs you name it he has bruised it sprained it ... lets not forget the abject ****ing misery of last season and the hope that well at least next season we will have Dan back ... well its next ****ing Season and here we still are ... Honestly if he gets injured again this season .. I would transfer list him ... enough is enough ... that said I do like the guy and rate him extremely highly ..Last edited by Kenneth; 11-11-15, 09:59 AM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Originally posted by Daffy Duck View PostYou're agreeing with a post about him unreasonably refusing to play when he's not fit, and then you go on a rant about his countless injuries - how exactly does that make sense to you?
I thought it was common sense not to rush back an injury-prone player...
I also think the club should reconsider his role in the squad, but blaming Sturridge for his absence from the team is honestly ridiculous.
The suggestion is, he is very precious about playing unless totally fit, most professional athletes are carry some kind of injuries at all times ..different athletes have different thresholds of pain. The suggestion is Daniel puts himself forward as not being able to play when other players would just get on with it. There is a school of thought within football that niggling injuries you play through and it builds up resilience, whilst stopping and starting at every little knock does not help.
That suggestion is not ridiculous .. it may not be correct but it certainly is not ridiculous .. what is ridiculous is his injury record ...... Perhaps if he was not so precious that long Injury record may not be so long ... Makes perfect Sense to meAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

Did a recent old pro come out and say as much about him ?Originally posted by Vermilion View PostThis 'refusing to play' rumour, can he even do that ?
If the club say he's fit, and he gets picked, how can he not play ?
Are people saying he's been picked, and refused to play ?
I don't see how he can avoid playing if he's passed fit to play by the club.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

I think it's more likely sturridge knows he's injury prone just like everyone else does and is worried to play when not fully fit because he thinks he will aggravate something and then be out for the long term.
As for 'building a resilience ' to injuries, that's ridiculous because it's just not medically true, nobody becomes less likely to be injured by playing through things.
His inability to string long periods together does **** with his recovery time though obviouslyY.N.W.A!!!!!!

Its not a crazy suggestion I agree. But to base an argument off it being a fact is a bit silly.Originally posted by Nicey View PostThe suggestion is, he is very precious about playing unless totally fit, most professional athletes are carry some kind of injuries at all times ..different athletes have different thresholds of pain. In all honesty, do we really need an injury prone striker playing with niggling injuries? What happens if he says '**** it, stick me on and see how it goes' and then 20 minutes into the game he pulls up and is out for another 2 months. In the process leaving us to make a tactical change 20 minutes into a game.
Pointless him playing if he doesnt think he is 100% at this point.*Except Michael, who died.
