When the whole 'pre-season' thing was mentioned I was expecting a period of 6-8 weeks of intensive training and no games, so I'm not surprised by this, in fact I was more surprised people were talking about him for the games about now. To me this makes sense, despite it being frustrating.

I think kloppo has a background in sports science so he knows what he's on about. Sturridge hasn't had a proper pre season for years so this is the test. If we can get him through this and get his body and mind in the right place's he might be the difference come the end of the season.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostWhen the whole 'pre-season' thing was mentioned I was expecting a period of 6-8 weeks of intensive training and no games, so I'm not surprised by this, in fact I was more surprised people were talking about him for the games about now. If we cant get him fit after a proper period of training then kloppo can move on and get another first choice centre forward for next season. We can't wait for Sturridge to be fit for the next 3 years.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

no one would buy him unless he plays 20 games in a row and if he did that Liverpool wouldn't want to sell.Daniel Sturridge is battling to save his Liverpool career.
The Kop crock has played only 106 minutes of football for new manager Jurgen Klopp – and he was again missing when Liverpool drew 2-2 with Exeter in the FA Cup on Friday night.
Klopp has become increasingly frustrated with Sturridge ’s injury record and Liverpool are ready to listen to offers of around £25million.

No-one would buy him for anywhere near what we would want no one would pay near £25m for him because there are only a few clubs who could afford that fee, and I don't see anyone who could afford him would want a player with that injury record. If we sell him it would be for aaround/less than we paid for him in the hope that they can get him fit and have a bargainLast edited by Exiled_red; 10-01-16, 12:41 AM.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Teams might take a punt on him at £10m but how many teams could afford to take a £25m punt on him?Originally posted by Gray View PostI think there's plenty of teams that would take a punt. And I hope we sell him.
Even if we got £25m for him, a replacement who would be as good as him would probably cost a hell of alot more, as when he's fit there's few better in the league, we have to do everything we can to get him fit and playing. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Everton could be flush WHEN they sell Stones and Lukaku. If we can keep Sturridge fit enough during his ' special preseason' then they might take a panic gamble.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostTeams might take a punt on him at £10m but how many teams could afford to take a £25m punt on him?

I still think a fit Sturridge is almost irreplaceable, a 'broken' Sturridge I don't see being anyone willing to pay £25m+ even knowing that if they can keep him fit it's a bargain. So I don't see how it's in our interest to sell, we just need to buy someone who we can rely on to put the ball in the net, that way we have him and Sturridge when Sturridge is fit.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
