Wouldn't be surprised to see him not play a game again for us.
He's cooked physically and never had the mentality. Get rid."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

I'm inclined to agree Harv that we've possibly seen the last of him in our shirt. We certainly can't rely on him in any capacity any more. Between injuries he used to slam in a few goals but even that's gone now & there's no desire to push himself for Klopp. £30-35 mil hopefully in the summer.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I was a massive fan of Sturridge before these injuries, but he's not close to the player he was, I can't remember the last time he put in a performance were he looked like his old self, he's had a couple of moments and scored the odd goal but his level is nowhere near where it was. It's like comparing the Torres with us to the Torres at Chelsea, maybe he'll improve on the level he's at now but I don't see him getting back where he was and I don't see him being here next season. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Im not entirely sure a 100% Sturridge would fit Klopps system anyway. I think by plaing as the speartip, and pressing constantly, a player like that wont find himseld in the same sorts of postions.
Does anyone know what Klopps top scorer previously got in a single season at Dortmund?
I imagine the striker did not get crazy goals, with a lot more going to players running in while the striker holds the ball up.
I think supply is also an issue. Sturridge was built for the hollywood pass. We dont seem to do those anymore. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Not sure of the exact figure but Lewandowski absolutely plundered in the goals under klopp, would have been +25 in at least two seasons.Originally posted by Charly View PostIm not entirely sure a 100% Sturridge would fit Klopps system anyway. Fair enough. I guess he unearthed a gem there. I cant think of a 30 goal a season striker who would be willing to press like Firminho does, that would be likely to come to us.
I wonder how Klopp would have used Suarez. I can see the two of them having a real bromance. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Just did a bit of looking and here are the the top scorers for the Klopp seasons from 2010/11 on. The individual goal stats for his early seasons were not on the site I checked.
2010/11: League: Lucas Barrios (16)
All Comps: Lucas Barrios (21)
2011/12: League: Robert Lewandowski (22)
All Comps: Robert Lewandowski (30)
2012/13: League: Robert Lewandowski (24)
All Comps: Robert Lewandowski (36)
2013/14: League: Robert Lewandowski (20)
All Comps: Robert Lewandowski (28)
2014/15: League: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (16)
All Comps: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (23)
Aubameyang has been the top scorer since Klopp left.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
