What a finish. Pure class. Outside bet on top scorer.

I think his role is going to be primarily as sub, lets hope that he can develop into a supersub getting us goals from the bench and after doing that can push on and challenge for a first team spot. Obviously the first thing he needs to do though is stay fit
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Good to bring on against the small club bus parkers like Cardiff, Everton & United.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Well done Daniel. Hope this season goes well.
As an elder member of the squad, you can stop doing that silly celebration now.
          Really?

It was interesting to read Klopp say they are setting up specialised training programmes for Sturridge.

If he is up for a supporting role, and we are up for tailoring his training program then we could have ourselves an unbelievable option from the bench and for cup and games where we are looking to rest one of the front three.

I turned my back on the game at 3-0 with about 4-5 mins to go with Sturridge on the bench, and went back two mins later for 4-0 with Sturridge having scored.

What an option to have, when last season it was Big Dom or Ingsy.

I'm absolutely buzzing for him. Back in the day with himself Suarez and Sterling, he was amazing. Totally sublime footballer with touches and skills and finishes that very few have. If we got even 75% of that back in subs appearances alone, that's quality. That finish today wasn't a gimme either.

The anticipation of pain is worse than the pain itself.

Just enjoy Sturridge while he's fit rather than stress about a potential spell on the sidelines. Otherwise you'll derive no joy from him being on the pitch.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

As nice as it is that he is fit and healthy, I do wish he would play a bit more for the team when he comes on. A bit less shuffling about to try to make room for a shot and a bit more passing to his teammates.

I agree, the play stops a bit when he receives the ball. Would prefer Shaqiri coming on and Salah playing up top.
                            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I thought preseason showed that Sturridge linked up really well with Shaq so I think I’d rather see both of them coming on from the bench.

He has played about 15 minutes in total from the bench and still managed a goal.

                                Seems a bit harsh
