If anything has perosnality in our squad, it's the CB pairing of shaved tattooed monster bad-asses we have in Skrtel and Agger. Put Carragher on right wing instead of Downing then, wouldn't make much difference in terms of performance quality.

Your best team at home vs Norwich would be different to your best team away to Barca.

We are playing with a completely makeshift back line. I'm not saying it's not capable, I'm saying it's not giving us the best chance of winning.

I'm not sure Rafa doing it makes any difference, when he did it it wasn't always the best idea too.

we need someone in the backline to organise us and neither agger nor skrtel seem to be able to do it well enough. Not just the defence imo, its also the midfield that need organising too.

i wouldnt play carra in a back four, maybe a back five though, with johnson and downing as the wingbacks. gerrard, lucas central, suarez, sturridge plus hendo.

lots more character in the team.

Before the match, I'm pretty sure that everyone would have put Skrtel in their preferred back 4, because that was our best team for the cause.

Think dww has mentioned this before. He doesn't rate Skrtel and Agger together that much and I think it's down to organisational skills.

We have a young kid playing right back (who is arguably CB), someone whos made a couple of sub appearances this season and is past his greater years, and a right back playing left back.

It is pretty makeshift. As it was last week.

I'm not saying This team isn't good enough to beat Norwich because it is. And it's not the end of the world playing Carra. I just believe that by not playing Skrtel Rodgers has lowered our chances of winning, albeit by a small amount.
