    That dummy was unbelievable

Remember the back heal goal he scored for Chelsea, no doubt when he's in form and confident he's capable of some amazing pieces of skill.

Long story. Suffice it to say he hasn't missed since.

Thought Molby was spot on with what he said about our potential signings. He said he would like us to buy a player with a physical presence, he said all the players we've signed so far are of a very similar ilk in terms of being small, technically skilled and quick. He went on to say a physical type of player is the one signing he has yet to make and he didn't buy any at Swansea. He also said that we don't want to become too predictable with the type of players we go for and that in games against Stoke away you need a bit more presence etc.

Just back from the match and it was a great performance by everyone. Norwich didn't even look like scoring and we put them to the sword.

Brendan Rodgers believes Liverpool now have a front two capable of striking fear into any Barclays Premier League defence.

January signing Daniel Sturridge scored his third goal in as many appearances during a 5-0 win over Norwich City at Anfield.

Luis Suarez was also on the scoresheet, collecting his 20th goal of the campaign after a smart dummy by his new strike partner.

Rodgers was delighted with their link-up play.

"They linked very, very well," he said. "Luis has done what he's done for us all season. He's 100 per cent every game.

"They are both players who are not just static. Daniel's got pace and power but he's also clever. That was important for us today.

"It gives the opponent someone else to really worry about.

"Suarez has been incredible for us this season and has had some young players up there with him, but we've now got a recognised goalscorer up beside him.

"If you look at the movements between the two of them... The second goal was a wonderful demonstration of how good players can link together.

"It was great vision of Daniel to see the run of Luis coming from the outside [for Suarez's goal].

"I have seen it in training in their early parts here. Their combinations have been really good."

A Ryan Bennett OG made it 5-0, with Jordan Henderson and Steven Gerrard both firing from outside the area earlier in the game.

The latter executed 115 passes - a hefty 20 per cent of which were long. Ninety-three per cent reached their man.

Rodgers added: "Steven Gerrard - the form he was in today. I think he used every club in his bag today, every pass. He was phenomenal.

"And the goal he scored was trademark Steven Gerrard."

Rodgers made changes to the side that started in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United last week, with Brad Jones replacing the injured Pepe Reina and Jamie Carragher securing a rare league start.

Asked for his motive in picking the 34-year-old, Rodgers explained: "Jamie Carragher hasn't put a foot wrong for me since I came. He has been absolutely brilliant. He hasn't played as often as he'd have liked.

"He's played in a lot of the cup games and I'd hoped to not put a curse on him, but I said to him that I couldn't remember him making a mistake in any of the games since I've been here.

"I thought about his leadership. We are a quiet team and he's a great organiser, he manages the game very well, he's got big experience, and he can play football.

"I thought him coming in alongside Daniel, who has been brilliant, would give us that extra bit of leadership. We saw that from him today, he was fantastic."

Rodgers felt the overall performance of his side was excellent and hopes it was indicative of the form Liverpool will show at home for the remainder of the season.

"I couldn't have asked for more," he said. "I thought the players were brilliant in their application and attitude. It was a great response [to the Manchester United defeat].

"We had a real fluidity in our movement today, in the top end of the field. Equal to that our pressing, and defensively we were very intense in getting the ball back.

"Jordan gets a great goal and that sets us on our way. What a strike it was.

"Today we equalled the number of home wins from last season, and we've still got a number of months to go.

"For any team, if you're going to be successful, your home form is vital. We love playing at home. Anfield is a great place to come and play your football. The players are really starting to enjoy coming here, they get great support and hopefully the supporters are happy with what they are seeing."

Meanwhile, Rodgers was asked if there was anything to add on transfers.

"Nothing at all," he said. "I see lots of people linked but there's nothing to add.

"Even if there was, I wouldn't say! You silly billy!

"We are just looking to bring in good players to the group, to build a competitive group and keep everyone in the group on their toes and frightened for their place in the team and in the group. The group are the main focus of the project, so we need to keep the group fresh, and group the group together into a team of 11 warriors every time we play a match."

Henderson had some amazing passes today - and Wisdom had some awfull passes - as if he wasn't awake....

Sturridge is exceptional in terms of changing direction when he runs with the ball....
