I'd like to see something like this:

OUT:

Downing - £8m
Carroll - £10m
Coates - £6m
Jones - a traffic cone

That's an estimated £24m right there to spend, before you consider the possibility/likelihood of Reina leaving. If he goes that'd surely be another £15m (min) giving us around £40m to spunk on more absolute ****e

Seriously though we could have another tidy sum to spend just by selling players who aren't contributing at all/are ****. Who would you sell?

You need to subtract the inevitable payoff money from the £40m, and possibly agents fees.

I think Downing, Carroll and Coates will be the main ones we'll (hopefully) get money for. I can see the likes of Wilson, Pacheco and Spearing being moved on, but I can't see us getting much for them. I think there is a possibility of Assaidi being moved on and one of Doni/Jones depending on what the situation with Doni is.

Next season I'd also look to loan some people out the likes of Robinson and Flanagan are crying out for regular games if they are to improve. I know they are on the fringes of the squad but it will benefit us much more to get them regular games than playing the odd game here and there.

Yeah I agree with the rest. Not sure Flanagan will make it here but him, Robinson, Wisdom and possibly Suso & Shelvey need to go on loan.

So we paid way over the odds to get somebody on the cheap. Not a big surprise.
