Plus there are probably bonuses in there as well but he will earn £17.5m over 5 years, be at his peak at 27 years old when it finishes and he can now concentrate on playing football being picked every week......
In reality LFC are likely to renegotiate with them in 2 or 3 seasons time when he is 25 years old and he has probably been told to keep improving and the club will look after him. Basically if he adds goals to his game, then the club should be back in there with a double your money contract when he is about 25 years old that should take him to when he is 29 / 30.
Compare that to Sterling - his agent has basically blew smoke right the way up his hairy hole and has him thinking he should be on 180k per week and then some. Thinking that LFC would be ****ed without him and his 10 goals this season. And do you know who has suffered??? Sterling himself because you can see the pressure he is put under now. Had he signed a contract last summer, then i suspect that he would have had a better season - because all the ****e goes away and he could concentrate on his football...
Back to Coutinho - i would build my team around the guy......either in a diamond formation or with him as the attacking midfielder in a 4-3-3..... if he adds a few more goals and a few more assists to his game, then he could surpass Hazard as the best attacking midfielder in the english game.
And Phil, don't be a knob and go to City or Chelsea......stay at LFC and be a ****in hero. Give us 4 or 5 year and if LFC cant match your ambitions, then go to a proper club deserving of you like Real Madrid or Barcelona.
