Jurgen Klopp has reiterated that Philippe Coutinho is going nowhere this summer.
Barcelona had a £72million bid rejected a fortnight ago and remain desperate to take the Brazil international to the Camp Nou
However, Klopp insists that Liverpool's stance remains unwavering - Coutinho is not for sale, regardless of any improved offer from the Catalan giants.
The Reds' hand could hardly be stronger considering that the 25-year-old playmaker is under contract until 2022 and there is no release clause that Barca could trigger.
"There is no other way to interpret it - he is not available to be sold," Klopp told a press conference in Munich to preview the Audi Cup.
"The word 'not' means there is no interpretation for that. It's nothing new, is it? How do you say it in English? **** off Barcelona!"
The player has shown no signs of agitating for a move with outstanding performances in the club's recent friendly matches.
Meanwhile, Klopp dismissed recent reports in Germany that he was looking to sign Augsburg's Swiss keeper Marwin Hitz.
"No, we aren't in the running for him. He's a good goalie but we have enough good goalies," Klopp added.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
no way we should sell this summer, no matter what price.
He's on the brink of his peak, about to have storming season, come back next summer lads when he has 'only' 4 years left
Completely makes no sense to sell this summer, even if he pushed for a move I'd be confident we could get him to stay for 1 more year now that we're in the CL.
Given his character though I think we could probably get longer out of him, he seems like a really good lad, he's relatively young and on a long term deal. If we improve again this year I could see him staying again, regress and I wouldn't begrudge him a dream move.
100 mill, whether in euros or pounds is **** all these days
I don't know, I'd be made up if someone gave me 100m pounds or euros
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Coutinho is much better than Keita in the midfield role so I'm not too fussed about missing out on him. If we did let Coutinho go though it'd kibosh our season, he's that important.

Hard to compare then in the centre tbh. Very different styles of player. I think in terms of how good they may be or could turn out to be, that they will both end up being top class players in their best position/role.
They both excel at things the other does not. Coutinho is the superior playmaker/final third player of the two, but Keita would be a much better box to box midfielder. But as said, they are very different players so not easy to compare them.
What I do know though is that I would love to see a player of Keita's level brought in to play in the same midfield as Coutinho.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

A Coutinho in the Anfield is worth two Keith's in the Bunda
