    To be honest I'm not sure it is. If Coutinho knows that a deal is agreed will he be committed to LFC until the end of the season, if a deal isn't agreed he has to play for his move.

    Also if he has a great season the price is locked down and we can't ask for more. Also other sides such as PSG might be interested which could start a bidding war...

    The only good thing I guess is that we get the deal done early in the window and have the money and time to focus on bringing in players

        If we sell in this window, we are ****ing idiots. Guy has been on fire and is vital for our success this season. Wait until the summer ffs and then let him go in a window when you can use that massive fee to buy the right players.

            If they sell him now, this is our midfield for the rest of the season:
            Oxlade, Henderson (injured and out of form), Can (about to sign for Juve), Wijnaldum (meh), Lallana (unfit and always injured) and Grujić.

            There's nobody they can bring in now to adequately replace Coutinho. Lemar would have made sense in August, when he could have been eased in slowly - now it will be panic time. Negotiating will be impossible when clubs realize we are desperate for a creative midfielder and full of Barca cash.

            We're approaching a tough battle with four other clubs for three CL spots, a tough fixture congestion, and a difficult CL campaign, where we'll desperately need Coutinho.

            Even the thought of selling him in the summer is sickening to me, but there isn't one single sane reason for FSG to sell him now. Not one. So I'm convinced we won't do it.

              We're absolutely dumb feckers if we sell him this window and it will say everything about FSG's lack of ambition. We're in a great position to finish at least 2nd in the league and go far in the CL if not win the damn thing, so why even consider selling him now.

                Coutinho's going to the WC regardless of form, worst thing that could happen for his world cup hopes would be that he gets injured, if a deal is already agreed he might feel that his 'back pain' is coming back.

                Yes he'll go where he wants but if PSG are able to put a decent offer in than we can push the price up a bit.

                  It'll be annoying if he misses games in January over all this bull**** as he's a difference maker like Salah. To miss both of them - like may happen today - we become pretty average again.

                              yup be a horrible mistake to sell now. Not enough time and clubs will know we are desperate. Summer makes sense.
