A lot of people seem to have big doubts about this fella, a so called south american football expert, forget his name...Graham Hunter i think, said he was massively overhyped when he joined Inter, and has big worries about him playing in the Prem, as he's not just small, but slight and not very strong.
Hopefully it's a similar signing as Suarez, just gone under the radar, and the reason not many other clubs were after him is nothing to do with his football, just seems odd that Southampton were the only other club to try and sign him if he's meant to be this super skillful wonderkid.Last edited by Vermilion; 31-01-13, 11:18 AM.

I don't think it was Graham Hunter. He was on TalkSport this morning and was asked about Coutinho. He raved about him. Said he has a brilliant first touch, unbelievable skill and the ability to unlock defences. He can hold the ball and beat people.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostA lot of people seem to have big doubts about this fella, a so called south american football expert, forget his name...Graham Hunter i think, said he was massively overhyped when he joined Inter, and has big worries about him playing in the Prem, as he's not just small, but slight and not very strong.
He said the fans need to give him time as he is slight and will need time to get used to the Prem. But he thinks that we have made a good buy
I think you might be confused with Tim Vickery. He said he never thought of Coutinho as a wonderkid and was saying things like 'Inter wouldn't have sold him if they rated him'. I think Inter are moving away from playing with a No. 10 and that is part of the reason he has been sold
I'm personally excited by the Coutinho signing

Being wrong on Gonzalez doesn't mean he's wrong now though, does it ?Originally posted by Shaggy View PostThe same Tim Vickery who told us all how good Gonzalez was going to be
Graham Hunter will have made similar misjudgements i'm sure.
Hopefully Vickery is wrong, he did say the lad is still young at only 20, and could still make it, said he should have stayed home like Neymar to develop more, instead of joining Inter in wave of hype and big statements about the future.
I think he expressed the same concerns many fans already have tbh.
As i say, hopefully he'll tear the Premiership a new one.
