Mate, he (Allen) was never ever brilliant. Yes he had a good game v City at Anfield but never in a million years has he been brilliant for us. He has generally been very poor and whilst he did well when called upon on Sunday he has so much more to do before I am convinced he has a future with us.

Back on topic, Coutinho has shown already what he is all about and has a massive future here. All my mates (non LFC fans) were raving about this kid when we met up yesterday.

He has got 3 MOM votes in Morses threads. So I think he is due slightly more credit than that.

I have a feeling that Coutinho is going to benefit from our sitution now, we have a full week between matches and there is not much pressure on the team, so he can settle in and play without much pressure and then get a full preseason with team next season. I really look forward to next season.

He's done really well and you can see he's so talented, but it's still early days, let's wait for a while before we get burned again I've been told by many Inter fans that he's a good prospect and that hopefully we can stick with him even when (there was no if) he starts hiding and having really **** games... We'll see

His vision is incredible for a young player. A proper 10

His technical skills are superb and I'm sure we will see more and more of that but his vision and quick decision making is what I'm also very pleasantly suprised with.

He clearly needs time to adjust and adopt to speed and physical aspect of playing in PL but so far so good.

To me it is more surprising that they sold him not so much how much they sold him for.

In fairness, he played very little this year and was loaned quite a bit over last 2 years for them to get much more from what we paid for him.

They also sold Santon on the cheap to Newcastle. The best young talent in the league at that time.

No wonder that Rafa left as soon as he had a chance to do it.
