Coutinho has been poor to be fair but yes the movements ahead of him has been ****e.

Philip coutinho is such a good young player. He wont get everything right but as mostar says, movement ahead of him will create space for him as defences are pulled around. If he has the space to play and players ahead of him move into dangerous areas he can be deadly.

There's not that many players with the sort of final pass that he has. I remember his ball to sturridge in the away game I think at Newcastle. It was magic.

I said the same thing a good few pages ago, without Sturridge our forward line is to static and that does not help Phil in any way!

Yep, said it a while ago myself. He needs movement or there's no point in playing him. Aside from Arsenal last season he's not going to win you battles in midfield and he doesn't score many so if he's not got movement ahead of him for him to pick out, playing him is pointless. To be fair his short game has been off too but is probably because his confidence is low due to not being able to affect games the way he wants.
