I'd like to see us play a couple of games without a recognized forward starting to establish the type of play we had against City - so I really hope that Coutinho is fit to give the option of an unchanged team.

I concur. The Coutinho thread is totally inappropriate for discussing such matters... As Coutinho's fitness
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Nice to see him back on the pitch, massive player for us. Seems to link up well with Firmino so hopefully he can bring Firminos quality out.

Philippe Coutinho believes Liverpool have “a great chance” of ending their wait for silverware this season.

46th best player in the world, apparently.

That rug really tied the room together.

                        Those rankings are shocking

Martial at #66 whereas Chiellini is #71

Those things are god awful. And if the likes of Vardy get included because of 6 good months then **** knows how the likes of Diego Costa are still included. He's spent the last 6 months walking around, not scoring goals and miscontrolling every ball that's passed to him.

As awful as they might be, our lack of representation on that list is a daming indicment of the quality we have in our squad at the moment.

That said, if you look at the number of people involved in compiling it, and rules it is pretty extensive and global.

I don't mind the likes of Vardy or Mahrez featuring, they are in form and have been playing really well. It's the appearance of the likes of Wayne Rooney that I can't stomach, he's been ****e for nearly all of 2015.

Philippe Coutinho? Is he all that or just a flash in the pan?The only thing he's consistent at is being inconsistent.Really needs to step up to the plate and become the player we all know he is.No one doubts his ability or skill he's shown us this but we only get 1 or 2 top/good performances out of every 6/7 games. Not sure if he can only progress with better players around him,but still he needs to show he's capable of being a top player even in a lesser side. He's 23/24 here's hoping he can kick on and become a star player.
