You have your opinion but he is out best player and the player that makes what we do so well, possible.

Speed of; pass, dribbling (how he takes out a couple of players) and mostly thought - he sets the tempo for the rest.

Isn't another like him in this league.

He's been outstanding this season, moved up a level for me consistency wise. He's alwyas had the ability but he's only ever shown it in patches. 10 league games in this season and he's been for me our stand out player of the season so far.

I don't think Coutinho has put in the same type of performances that he did last season - the mazey dribbling runs producing a solo effort on goal, and the reason is that he hasn't had to. At times last season it was down to him to carry the side, that burden has been lifted and replaced by interplay between the front three.

Re stats I think all of his four PL assists have been from corners. I'm not sure but even with stats out of the equation he's been top class but I think there's more to come from him and soon as he seems to now have a better understanding with Mane.

I am probably quite alone in wanting Origi to start a few games as I think having him as a focal point would help Coutinho (thought a once fit Sturridge brought out the best in coutinho) but when you're playing well you don't mess with it.

He has cut down on his shooting hasn't he? Maybe because he's being closed down but I think he's having fewer shots and taking better decisions, again maybe because he has more options. I don't think there is a single player now who is irreplacable in this team, but Coutinho is superb at the minute.

He's had 44 shots in the league which puts him second to Ibrahimovic.

I don't mind him taking that many shots as he's more than capable of a worldie to open up tight games and as a result he gets closed down quickly which in turn opens up spaces.

Hmmmm, ok I thought it was less apparent yesterday at least, it's an aspect of his game that has annoyed me.

I think maybe his accuracy has improved, so when he is having long range shots they are closer to the goal than previously, last year alot of his long range efforts were well off target, I guess that is why they are less noticable.

We should give him a new contract right away.....

Next summer we will probably have to buy 5 or 6 players to replace the ones that don't get enough game time (sturridge, Lucas, maybe Ings) and hopefully add some strength in depth for CL football too. It would be a balls to have to replace our magician that makes things happen as well.....

Good shout. He has changed his style of play somewhat thanks to having more options around him this season. A hell of a lot of play goes through him now instead of him trying to be, as you said, the guy who is the cutting edge all the time.

What he ilooks like he is adding to his game on a regular basis are some very Iniesta like qualities in that he can now have a big impact upon games without the flashy moves. Simple quick passes, good vision, little dribbles to make space, joining the attack from deep, joining the attack from the flanks, set pieces, and not getting confined to one role/position within the team.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He is trying fewer speculative efforts than was the case at the start of the season - of course when a few spectaculars go in the top corner the temptation to try and bag another GOTM contender must be overwhelming but I imagine Klopp told him to dial it down retain possession, recycle and find the pass unless a shot is clearly on.

Lallana's goal against Hull was from a Coutinho pass.

It helps that we have three different types of forwards on the pitch.
