Even if we don't sell Coutinho and Can I would argue we still need two more midfielders in the squad this season. I'd like a tactically aware utility player to replace Lucas and an alternative playmaker/assister to Coutinho who could play deep in midfield. I guess with a more reliable LB replacement in Robertson then Milner could cover some of the former role.
