Surely even FSG realise it is impossible to sell Coutinho this summer - given the accumulated lack of signings over the past 3 summers. A deal like this has to be sorted out on the quiet six months in advance, to let us get our replacements ready.

Sorry that Barca got ****ed over by Neymar "jr" and PSG - but that's what happens if you have a buy-out clause and mercinary players. **** off trying to put us in the **** with 3 weeks of the window left.

Unless we pump Barca in the CL Final this season and give Phil something to think about.

£120m is a ****ton of money

If he stays this year, he's gone next. Maybe even in Jan

Barca are one of the two top clubs on the planet, comfortably. Arguably the biggest draw for Brazilian players
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Even if we only get a season I think hanging on is worth it. We need a plan as to how we want to rebuild. At the minute is difficult to see what options we have available on the market.

Couldn't agree more. I'd only consider selling if we were able to improve the team as a whole. That's absolutely not possible now, perhaps not in the next year or so either

Unless he does a VVD and makes his position untenable, he stays. But still, £120m

There's no guarantee we'll get what we want even with £200m in the bank. So, hope we stand firm and don't sell him.

What does £120m get you in this market though?

Pickford, Keane, Sigurdsson and spare change?

Take the money and it just confirms us as a stepping stone for the likes of Coutinho, Firminho and Mane. Buck the FSG trend and tell Barca to **** off, draw them in the CL , smash them to pieces and keep growing!!!

What is the fsg trend? Only world class player we've sold is Suarez and he wanted to move.

Exactly. We're in no rush to sell. He's 25, and his contract expires in 2022. We sold Suarez when he was 27. It's imperative we keep him for this season at least, and then see what happens next summer.

I've no idea. Am sure there are plenty of players that we could get for £120m that would instantly improve the team, I wouldn't advocate splitting the funds across three mediocre offerings though

Well, I don't think there are many clubs in world football that wouldn't be seen as a stepping stone to Barcelona; but I agree with the sentiment
