    Ya - I agree 100% and never but context to it. Let has been banging the drum of how we manage our transfers and Barca do exactly the same.

        The timing is down to Barcelona, IMO he would be happy here if Barcelona (or Real Madrid) weren't interested in him, those two club are seen as a step above by most ssouth American players, that opportunity comes along very infrequently so you can see why he he's up for a move.

          The he will accept that he cannot leave now. After seeing Klopp's interview, I will be very surprised if we sell.

            We tried this early in the window, not two weeks before it closes. It's a known tactic to put pressure on the club, but we tried to do it the right way and we pretty much backed off early.

              And? If it doesn't work for us we don't sell.

              Handing in a transfer request is the right thing to do, gets us out of the loyalty payment. We don't have to let him go.

                                I think it comes down to signing a replacement. We need to do this before we sell or we are going to end up paying a premium on the premium
