Barcelona are “close” to completing the double signing of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, general manager Pep Segura has claimed.
Segura was speaking in the aftermath of the Blaugrana's 5-1 humbling against bitter rivals Real Madrid in the Super Cup on Thursday.
Speaking to TV 3 after the match, he said: "We're close to signing Coutinho and Dembele but until it's closed I can't say anything".

    Erm, you just have.

If he's happy to go to a team with as little chance of silverware as Liverpool then good luck to him.

Segura should show some respect, especially after his time here but Barca fans absolutely loathe him and all the other suits so he's obviously trying to save his own arse. Dirty little rat.

He's quite injury prone and we missed him when he wasn't playing, but we got through it and achieved what we thought we might anyway. I'll be sorry to see him go, but y'know, so what?
If we let Coutinho leave this summer, they will be after Mane next summer. It is important to draw a line in the sand, the same way as Leipzig have done, at some point.

Coutinho is no Suarez but his presence significantly improves our chances of winning something or qualifying for CL. Our owners and Klopp have been very emphatic in stating that Coutinho will not leave this summer. Let us stick to that message.

Not so sure if it does. This **** may get in his head. If it does he could go back to inconsistency.

Not through maneuvering or anything cynical, just because it's who he is. I don't think he's the strongest mentally.

Somehow Klopp gave him the confidence to maintain form last year, if that relationship breaks down.....

But without an adequate replacement lined up I'd risk it and keep him defo.

I'd Say he's mentally excellent and not the sort of player you would expect to be a problem after this.

In fact I could see it inspiring him to regain his respect from the fans.

Hes only a footballer. We will replace him if he doesnt want to play for us. Someone else does.
                    *Except Michael, who died.

Aye. I'm sure we could field a squad from Est who would all wanna play.
                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

With 2 weeks to go till the deadline it's now time for the club to change phone numbers, go ex-directory and send any emails from Barca to spam. Rottweiler receptionist to field all walk ins and bunker up with fingers in the ears.

Yeah if he wants out take the max cash and move on.

Would love to draw Barca in the CL assuming we make it through.
