As invaluable as he is there needs to be some sort of censure to deliver the message that his behaviour has been unacceptable. Perhaps freeze him out of the squad for a spell.
It will be interesting to hear the crowd reaction on his return.

Freeze him until he gives a written apology to the club and fans.

Then sell him to PSG or Real next summer.

Or just get over the histrionics and let a player who improves our team play whilst we're still paying his wages.

No sense cutting off our nose to spite our face. Coutinho is a player capable of opening tight defences in a way none of the rest of our squad are. He'll be vital to us challenging for anything this year.

Coutinho is an excellent player. The fact that he is still ours is something to be happy about. Yes, the fake injuries, Barca ambitions and reported winging has tarnished his golden boy reputation, but as long as he plays with obvious commitment to our cause, keeps his mouth shut and does his job, I don't really care.
I'd like to believe all our players are great human beings who would all die for the badge, but at the end of the day, LFC is an employer, and they are doing a job.
These are young men (of varying intelligence) who are often easily led by agents, hangers on and families, and these days are predominantly driven by money, quick success and the urge to do everything NOW, before their short career is over. So let's see if he can let his actions on the pitch in a red shirt repair the mess he's been a part of.

Exellent player or not, he's a complete vole cunt. If we had missed out on CL group stages nobody would have a good word to say about him

Once he plays again for us all the **** will be soon forgotten. Not enamoured by his attitude but he can still be the key to our season.

                        That rules out Couthino then

Bet Barca fans watching him play for Brazil there feel similar to us when we saw Lemar last night.

There's only a few more hours to wait to find out. But I'd suspect so now as we can't bring anyone else in to replace him now.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Apparently we have rejected a bid of eur 160m today - Coutinho reported to have been seen in tears after hearing the news.

Personally I think for 160m we should have sold him, he's not worth anything like that
