****ing savages Slightly over the top.

Shouldn't have signed a 5 year contract spoutingall the **** he did.

I agree we should have sold him and brought in Lemar. Not for his sake but for the sake of the club and the fans.

He happily took the extra money.

can`t believe people are saying put him on the bench against city not a chance he has shown zero respect for both the club the team and the fans and I cant see Klopp being as forgiving
Oh I say his vision there was lovely

May as well have sold him if we aren't going to play him.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I should have put a smiley after as the term was meant in jest but my point still stands that if the lad is really broken up about this, we should've just let him go.

Still think it's all propaganda from the pro-Barca press

I understand the stance taken by the club but I also would have been happy to get in Lemar, let him go and throw stupid money at Southampton for VVD.

              Easier said than done obviously

Look at the state of him when he signed for us.... he definitely owes us at least one more season

We created him, we found him a decent barbers... signed some friends for him to hang out with... everything.

                    Modifying post.

I'd imagine a solemn interview with a friendly journalist (Pearce?) where he says how he dreamt of playing for Barca as a small child and so his head was turned for a while, but he still loves Liverpool and everything about us fans. Maybe "sources close to the player said it was all those ****s at Barca's fault, he never wanted to disrespect the club or his teammates and manager"? Doubt he'll go for the straight statement that he's pissed off he couldn't sign for them but supposes he'll stay now he's got no choice...
We had a halfway house the other week blaming the agent. Then he went off ill.

He might be busy at the moment given all the players who were pushing for a move but didn't get one

                              Totally agree with that!
Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but does not actually get you anywhere.

Brazil team-mates of Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho, 25, reportedly saw him crying before the World Cup qualifying victory over Ecuador, after his move to Barcelona broke down. (Calcio Mercato - Spanish)
