It does. Would have thought something closer to the Mbappe fee that PSG will be paying would be closer the mark.

The 40 or so million in add ons bit I am fine with, as long as they are achieveable add ons, but the initial fee should be closer the 140m mark.


In a way it is mad that we are saing that 105m initially is not enough, but such is the current market and importance of player.

Indeed. He's only going to knuckle down and play for so long, and only with the prospect of ultimately getting what he wants. I'd rather have a player or two who want to play for us and who klopp wants than keep Coutinho and have it hanging over us for another seven months minimum. His judgement on defenders may be questioned but when it comes to building an attack, klopp knows what he's doing, he will make it work, I have zero doubt about that. How it 'makes us look' is of zero concern.
