Even at Dortmund his record for biggish money attacking starters was very good in terms of them settling quickly on the pitch.

    Reus €17m
    Mkhitaryan €25m
    Aubameyang €13m

His one real flop in terms of bringing in a big money attacking starter would be Immobile and he cost €18m
It was the committee not Klopp decided on Salah but I take your point.

Still agree with the post Marcus quoted above tho.
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Is Neymar only 2.2x the player Pogba is?

      Is it still 2016?

If we can get around £130mil for Phil that's a decent price for us. He won5t be sold for less and possibly a bit more. That covers VVD and Keita in full. 2 top class players for one.

If we can't handle these situations, then we'd better stop buying the best S.Americans because at some point if good enough and given the option they will pull out all the stops to go to Real or Barca. In the same way any of us would go on strike, punch a ref or anything else if given the chance to sign for Liverpool.

Oh the days of trying to get Charlie Adams out of the club..

          Great point

Perhaps not the greatest example but Ronaldo left the scum when they were winning lots of trophies. I'd imagine Suarez would've left us regardless of whether we'd won the league or not

Marca reporting Barca have upped their bid to €160m

            €120m plus €40m add ons

            They are getting closer...

FFS, Spurs do a better job of holding on to their players.[/B]

And on spending, we supposedly had £150m to spend and used £70m of it on Salah and Ox. We just spent another £70m on VVD. But then we're about to wipe all that out with £150m for Coutinho. The only thing outstanding is our summer transfer of Keita. So I think my point still stands. We are being stingy compared to our rivals. And it's true in the wage side as well.
                apart from Modric,Bale, Walker.....

That might do it if the add ons are sensible unlike last time

I don’t think it will take that much.

It will have to be VERY close to that

I reckon the only people who seem confused between £ and € is Barcelona

                                Totally

They also seem to forget they sold Neymar for £200m and bought Dembele for over £100m which played a huge part in inflating the market.
