its interesting that the club seem to have tried to convince him to stay long term, rather than accept he's off in the summer. Once Klopp realised his heart is definitely away from here, he's got rid. Any game we fail to win, any defence we cant unlock. You just know what will be said.

As for Phil, I wish him all the best. It's his dream move. It's difficult to get in the way of Latin players when Spain come calling. It's a similar culture to theirs and it's understandable that it would be best for their family in the long term.
On a pure sporting point of view we all hope that Klopp is given time to build a dynasty which will allow us to compete against the likes of Barca in the near future.

We got 5 years out of him and, for 8.5m, he has consistently been one of our best players. Granted, he may not have handled this the best but he is entitled to move on.Comment

Argh absolutely pissed. My favourite player gone. It's Alonso all over again. Honestly cant blame him though. He's always wanyed to play for them. Its like if any of us actually played and heard Liverpool were depserate to sign us, we'd move heaven and earth to make it happen. So good luck to him for getting his dream. Good player for us, and frankly it's his time with us that turned him into the player he is.
