Playing like that really isn't the issue, it's the lapses in concentration that is our undoing.Originally posted by wavydavy View PostIn from 13/2 to 9/2 to make top 4. Play like that from now until the end of the season and it's definitely on IMO.Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

That was our best performance of the season. We just handed the champions their arse. I'm made up with the performance and we will be back in the top 4 in the next season or so. Can't wait to play spurs and watch us hammer them. I'm confident rodgers knows what he needs in the summer but we should be in the top 4 now if it wasn't for stupid mistakes all the time.

And we have a Brazilian attacker to come in too!Originally posted by Shaggy View PostCompletely gutted but overall I'm buzzing after that. These last two games have felt to me like the Rafa days...i.e. we've got our mojo back, as though we can go toe to toe with anyone and match them. I know its only two points and maybe I'm getting carried away, but still. It feels good. We look a proper team now.
If we remember that this season isn't about challenging for the CL then I'd say we can be very proud of the last two games. We went toe to toe and had the beating of them.
60% possession away from home against the Premier League champions.
Admittedly that was without their two of their best players but still! They're still chock full of talent and graft. Was muß, das muß.

It was a ridiculous decision. Even if Kun hadn't shot but had stopped and picked out a pass/cross, Pepe would still have been ****ed. Complete headless chicken stuff. Brucie G at his maddest. Gutted about it really.Originally posted by BootRoom View PostIt was a misjudgement from Reina but the finish sublime.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I was very apprehensive with the Sturridge signing but boy has he turned up well for us. Looks like a good player who has had his head sorted. Doesn't look that selfish at all.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostCompletely gutted but overall I'm buzzing after that. I think it's too late for us to snap 4th at this point in time but we should be building on whatever we have as a squad right now.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

I'm not arguing it was the wrong decision, just that we got punished to the maximum for it when the odds were in our favour that we could have got away with it.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIt was a ridiculous decision. On the first goal, that wasn't soley down to Agger; Johnson and Agger played them onside, and Carragher's scurry to get across and stop the cross was embarrassing. It's funny that if it's the likes of Enrique or Wisdom letting crosses come across the goal they get stick for it, but when Carragher is to slow to get across it's the defender in the middle that gets the stick.
