Liverpool v Swansea Build up Thread

    V Anfield : Sunday, 17 KO 15:00
Brendan Rodgers has revealed Daniel Sturridge is fit and ready to make his return to the Liverpool starting line-up for the Reds' clash against Swansea on Sunday.

Sturridge missed his side's last Barclays Premier League game against West Brom due to injury and was cup-tied for the trip to Russia to face Zenit St Petersburg mid-week.

However, Rodgers confirmed he will have the striker at his disposal when the Swans travel to Anfield at the weekend.

"Daniel will be fit for the weekend which is great for us," Rodgers told reporters gathered at Melwood.

The manager also explained how he will be taking into consideration the possibility of handing a full Liverpool debut to Philippe Coutinho.

The 20-year-old came on as a late substitute during the Reds' 2-0 defeat against West Brom on Monday.

And asked whether the Brazilian could be in the running to make his first start for the club at the weekend, the manager replied: "He's certainly in my thinking.

"He's come in and has needed a bit of time to adapt to a new way of working and a new life. But you can see the kid's qualities. He's got good experience for a young player.

"Over the next couple of days I'll take my time and have a think about [whether he will start].

"He's certainly got the qualities to come into the group and he knows the way of working."

Meanwhile, Rodgers insisted that the squad was injury-free following a long trip home from St Petersburg on Thursday.

"We've got no injury concerns," he said. "Daniel Agger didn't travel to Russia but he is fit again."

It'll be good craic in the post-match thread if we lose, though.

I guess we will dominate for 70 mins, missing 7 or 8 clear cut chances then will concede a soft goal- either a defensive error or a 30 yard screamer from their left back.

Then they gain more confident and grab another goal.

Based on our record against Swansea, they will dominate all game and win 3-0

I feel kind of manic depressive about Liverpool right now.

Marina in time T1: I'm depressed. Maybe I should take a break from bothering with football.
Marina in time T2: Let's stop the rot! We can do it! We'll go on a winning streak! Come on!

It's a bit traumatic to be honest!
