It's a nice thought for when we've lost, but the thing is it isn't just a game is it? It's a massive emotional/financial/time commitment that affects you one way or another. Sometimes it makes me unbelievably ****ing happy. And sometimes it really ****ing gets me down. We take the highs and the lows together, anyway we'll get there in the end, we're too good to play like this much longer.Originally posted by Neil YoungI know what you mean but actually it is just a game.

I do understand and the emotional investment required to travel from London was the main reason I gave up my season ticket. Maybe it's because I don't go as often as I did but I really think that just we choose to invest whatever we want into it, we can choose to get whatever we want out of it. I don't want it to be painful so I choose not to let it get to me. It is a state of mind.Originally posted by Red_PoloIt's a nice thought for when we've lost, but the thing is it isn't just a game is it? Anyway, Polo, you know it is a game. It really isn't important in itself, it's only as important as we make it..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Yeah very true.Originally posted by Neil YoungIt really isn't important in itself, it's only as important as we make it.
I think it's probably healthy if at all possible to develop a certain flexibility and not really be too affected when we lose but be absoltuely ****ing delighted when we win

Its the lack of fight that bothered me. We were second to every ball, every tackle. We just look tired and unmotivated and thats pathetic. Whats the answer? God knows, but whatever we are doing it isn't enough. We need some bite and I think we probably don't need zenden and gonzo for a while.

Chin up Al. Think of the big picture. The good times are closer for us than they are for most.Originally posted by Red_Al_77I've only started thinking about it all again once I logged on here. It's all est1892's fault.

No matter what is happening right now, I know there are a lot of good times ahead.Like blood on iron
