    Why?

    Does Finnan always go backwards on sideways? He was to blame for their second, one moment we're attacking comes to him and back it goes.

    Usual pattern, Reina to Finnan, sideways to Carra, Sideways to Hyypia and across to Riise and repeat again until we're closed down and one of the four boots it aimlessly upfront.

    Gerrard - he's out of form for whaterer reason BUT, play him in the middle, it may make him happier, its not as if it would make our results any worse. Play Pennant on the right, give him a run of 10 games. Him faith with Gonzalez, again play him for 10 games. Keep the front two as Croucg & Kuyt and swop Crouch at home for Fowler.

    Last thing, is it me or does our play look dated? our players lack technique, they all take a touch to control the damn thing, Finnan = old style full back and Eboue the future, same with Toure and Hyypia. Alonso brings what to the party exactly? nothing that Fabregas or Silva couldn't do better.

    Its not all doom & gloom, I think we'll improve and its a fight for 4th. But we're nowhere near the top teams. Its not just money, Wenger signs young players with technique and coachs them into what he wants. 3 years on and we're still not much more fluent than before.

    I put the blame for the second goal firmly on Hyypia. His attempted pass, which looked dreadfull the minute it left his foot, gave away a good spell of posession. Up untill that point, even 1-0 down, we were no worse than Arsenal. After that we couldn't get near them.

    Can't understand why he gets a place before Agger.

      he has been mr reliable for a few years so I can see why

      still Aggar looks a great player.

            I started a thread about this the other day....
            Some one was giving him stick at the game, the reason for it was that he was unable to see a forward pass....

            Was pretty much told it was cr@p and that finnan is the best RB in the league...

                  I partially agreed, but saying he's the best in the league is nothing special, who's his competition?

                  I think Kromkamp could have been great but he never settled

                    Who's the competition? Eboue is better, I hate the **** but Neville offers so much more coming forward and then there's the man beast that is Micah Richards. There's 3 for a starters. Finnans game is very limited. He's consistent alright but consistently unadventorus.

                        Not sure I would say eboue is better week in - week out. Haven't seen enough of Richards yet, neville is probably better.

                        But your misinterpreting what I said i think, I don't think he's the best but I don't think theres exactly any world class players to compare him to.

                          chimbonda is better and seem to recall Villa hving a handy right back.

                            I think the time for soothing bruised egos is now over.

                            The best players must play for every position. If players feel agrieved by that then they need to prove Rafa wrong on the Field.

                            Has anybody compared our results where Gerrard hasn't played with those that he did?

                            The games where Agger played and those where he didn't?
