Arsenal and Everton don't play this weekend. A win for us will really put us in amongst it. If we can win of course. Sadly, recent history dictates that we won't win for one reason or another.

Coutinho will start imo at expense of Hendo but other than that I think the lineup is spot on with possible exception of Sturridge if he is not fully fit.

If we win:

* 29 games played
* 6th place
* Equal points (+GD) with the Bitters but they'll have a game in hand
* 2 points behind Arsenal in 5th
* 7 points behind Chelsea in 4th

So if Arsenal lose and draw their next two games and we win both of ours, we'd go ahead of them on goal difference!

Then perhaps we can try our hardest for a go at 4th place?

We need to break the habit of giving the so called better teams too much respect at the start of the game. If we just concentrate on playing out game we should be ok. Hopefully the crowd will play their part as well.

We'll pump them with slick play and good possession. I hope we can work really hard to close down the space in midfield then bring on Henderson to maintain the energy levels.

Well we didn't do that against the Arse or City recently as we led them both but faded & had to settle for a draw. And we led the scum too.

I'm not so sure he will, can't see Coutinho tracking Kyle Walker back all the time for 60-70 minutes, Henderson will and Henderson will also have the energy to break beyond the Spurs high line.

I think/hope Rodgers plans for Spurs strengths instead of just sending us out to play and that would mean using Coutinho as an impact sub in this one.

Agree, Coutinho as a sub makes more sense - Downing *shudder* is more likely to track back.

Finishing 5th now has to be the aim for us doesnt it? Its achievable. Plus it would represent something of a success for the season.

I think itll be a draw with Spurs. But we are both certainly the from teams going into the game. It should be good fun.
