Arsenal and Everton don't play this weekend. A win for us will really put us in amongst it. If we can win of course. Sadly, recent history dictates that we won't win for one reason or another.

Coutinho will start imo at expense of Hendo but other than that I think the lineup is spot on with possible exception of Sturridge if he is not fully fit.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostI hope Rodgers picks this team -

* 29 games played
* 6th place
* Equal points (+GD) with the Bitters but they'll have a game in hand
* 2 points behind Arsenal in 5th
* 7 points behind Chelsea in 4th
So if Arsenal lose and draw their next two games and we win both of ours, we'd go ahead of them on goal difference!
Then perhaps we can try our hardest for a go at 4th place?Was muß, das muß.

Well we didn't do that against the Arse or City recently as we led them both but faded & had to settle for a draw. And we led the scum too.Originally posted by dizzycat View PostWe need to break the habit of giving the so called better teams too much respect at the start of the game. If we just concentrate on playing out game we should be ok. Hopefully the crowd will play their part as well.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

We can do this!
I believe we can too.

I'm not so sure he will, can't see Coutinho tracking Kyle Walker back all the time for 60-70 minutes, Henderson will and Henderson will also have the energy to break beyond the Spurs high line.Originally posted by Mostar View PostCoutinho will start imo at expense of Hendo but other than that I think the lineup is spot on with possible exception of Sturridge if he is not fully fit.
I think/hope Rodgers plans for Spurs strengths instead of just sending us out to play and that would mean using Coutinho as an impact sub in this one.The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Agree, Coutinho as a sub makes more sense - Downing *shudder* is more likely to track back.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostI'm not so sure he will, can't see Coutinho tracking Kyle Walker back all the time for 60-70 minutes, Henderson will and Henderson will also have the energy to break beyond the Spurs high line.
