Hmm. When is Skrtel going to regain his place? I kind of thought he'd be restored to the starting 11 for this one. We'll see!

That looks like we'll line up as 442. No problems with that as Downing & Coutinho will get forward. Or is 4132 ?Originally posted by Bender View PostTwitter:Liverpool's rumoured starting line up vs Tottenham..
Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Agger, Carragher, Gerrard,Coutinho, Downing, Lucas, Suarez and Sturridge
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

We don't need to rotate the squad now. Play our best XI until we can't fight for a European spot.Originally posted by Bender View Postreckon he might get a couple of games at the most now before he is sold

I'm worried about losing the midfield though, who do Spurs normally line up in midfield? A lot will ride on Gerrard and Lucas in the game, I can't wait!
Checked it out, so they are likely to play Parker, Dembele and Gylfi in midfield.Last edited by The_weatherman; 10-03-13, 09:11 AM.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

The Guardian's thoughts:

Now, obviously they called us wrong, but taking that Spurs team as a decent guess it will be Demebele and Parker. And let's face it, Parker is wank - it's their left side which looks a little weak and hopefully we can exploit that - Johnson to push them both back and Downing to continue his run of form.

Won't they get too narrow if they play like that? I'd have thought Lennon would start. Our fullbacks will be very important.Originally posted by Muddled View PostThe Guardian's thoughts:

They normally set up like AVB's old Porto side width wise. One player hugging the touchline (normally Lennon) and the other playing narrow.
This system was created to get the best out of Hulk and was used at Spurs for Bale. He's now playing Bale in the hole but sticks with the same system.Forwards.......

I'm tempted to stick with the same team that beat Wigan last week but then I have to remind myself that Spurs are different gravy. It probably makes sense to bring Sturridge back and drop either Coutinho or Downing. Both players are on form but it'd be a risk if we go into the game with just Lucas and Gerrard as our midfielders so I'd prefer one of those to be sacrificed rather than a midfielder. A midfield trio of Lucas, Gerrard and Henderson is what I'd like to see.

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
