Nah, Torres for me too. Was better for longer, although I do think that he was less gifted all round & had the help of a far better team for much of the time.

If Suarez doesnt go this summer though, then he has the potential to change my opinion. Such a shame they couldnt play together in their prime.
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Its purely a gut feel decision. I remember when Torres was on fire, whenever he received the ball headed for goal I would start celebrating 5 seconds before he finished. Missed many of his finishes due to premature-celebration.

With Suarez, I trust he will score nowadays but I still wait 'til its hit the back of the net just in case. Like I said, its just a gut feeling.

Suarez is, right now, at the top of the group of players behind Messi (1) and Ronaldo (2) and in there with the likes of Iniesta, Falcao, Cavani, etc...

Torres, in his prime, was one of the best strikers in Europe but don't think he was ever the best.

After that goal v Inter I think he was widely regarded as the best.

I associate Torres with a winning team, fighting on several fronts and scoring goals galore. He made me feel like a youff falling in love with the game all over again and I guess, the way Torres left made me question that love as well as making it difficult to accept the 'next guy'. So when I think of Torres, I think of a variety of goals - none similar - during a spell that made me think we could win the league, so by default, he's always thought of during pleasant times.

Then Suarez arrived. I don't think he's immediately likeable and you can't help looking back at his historic incidents as brain ninjas - little snippets that are forgotten about, until something happens and it all comes flooding back. But then you start to experience his clear passion for the game, his desire to win and his tremendous ability with a football. I mean, the lad could turn on the proverbial sixpence. He creates his own opportunities and has carried our side for the first half of the season.

Yes, he's a nutter. But he's *our* nutter and I think I've talked myself into making my mind up.

            Suarez.

As the season has gone on, I've started to let myself be sucked in by Suarez. Initially I wasn't going to allow a footballer to make me feel like a kid again, but his enthusiasm and tenacity is just downright infectious.

I'll be honest, I'm desperate for him to get the POTY award(s).

Torres, a thoroughbred of a footballer in his prime.

Suarez has done his job properly for 3/4 of a season so far. He was ****e last season. Easy on the eye but beyond wasteful.

If he has another season like this one next year then it will be a different answer from me bit for now Torres.

              Loved the guy.

Suarez was far from '****e' last season.

He was inconsistent last year and now he's consistent. That's inconsistent.

He should just have carried on being inconsistent. At least he would have been consistent.
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Suarez was excellent in his first 5 months here, started off last season well and finished well and has been more than excellent this year.

He lost his form for a few months around the Evra crap but at no stage was he ever '****e'.

I voted for Suarez because he is just awesome but also current. But I can't deny the fact that I had embarrassing man feelings for Torres, he was ****ing awesome for 18 months or so and at the time I wouldn't have changed him with anyone else.

However, Suarez definitely seems so to love the club, much more than Torres ever did. Not sure why but, imo he just has a more genuine aura around him.
