What happened with Luis and dembele? To be fair spurs were very good. We were hanging on at one point. Credit for the victory goes to Rodgers. Spurs had way too much of the ball in midfield with dembele dominant and he brought on Allen. It shored up midfield and gave us a platform. I think it was a pen, the defender got none of the ball. Thought Gerrard was man of the match, really was everywhere. Lucas was poor, his worse game for us. Johnson seems to have lost confidence. Downing had a good game as did Sturridge. In the end we got there.

Think tactically we were second best today. We couldn't cope with Spurs' pressing and we should have had Henderson in earlier. Allen coming in steadied it a bit.

Concern defending set pieces is the reason we'll go for someone like Williams next season.

Vertonghen and Dembele are both fantastic players! Gutted we didn't go in for either of them, both very get able IMO.

Johnson, Lucas and Sturridge all struggled today I thought. It seemed every time Sturridge had the ball he was surrounded and Suarez seemed to kill him off by standing still.

Yep hats off Downing today. There was a moment in the first half when he tracked back and got a critical block on Defoe. Did well all day.
