Sturridge needs to sort his niggling injuries out in order to sustain his fitness/consistency levels

Bring back Skrtel!?!? At least we look pretty solid in open play. We just can't defend set pieces at the moment and Skrtel is utterly **** in that department. We just don't have the team size to make up for the lack of a dominant CB. Its a summer job and we'll just to hope we don't see good set pieces this season!

            That win feels SO good!

Feels like we're building towards something special again.

Absolutely buzzing with picking up three points in the way that we did. Major concerns regarding our defence again.

I must be the only one who thinks Lucas was poor today, and has been for a while. Looks way off the pace and it's a shame we don't have another player of his ilk to come in and ease the burden a bit (cue mass criticism).

We struggled at times today, but there were also glimpses of quality. We looked a bit leggy, which perhaps shows we're a side that needs lots of games to keep fresh.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers on the injured Pepe Reina: "It was disappointing because we thought Reina would probably make it today.

"He had a tight calf in a fitness test this morning and unfortunately for him he didn't get through it. Hopefully by next week he'll be fine.

"Big credit to Brad Jones, who came in at the last minute. He equipped himself terrifically today and made a great stop, especially in the first half.

"We'll see how Pepe is next week."

Has anyone seen any of the match reports mention how Lucas grabbed Bale on the shoulder, and then the nobber went down holding his face?
Rome wasn't built in a day, but it wasn't built by the apprentice either.

I love the guy but I thought Lucas wasn't good today, with the ball anyway. Did okay with Bale in the first half.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

3 points, that's all that matters. Like others have said we've played much better and lost. That should be a big psychological boost, need to maintain winning ways now and maybe just maybe we might steal that 4th spot.
