We've not lost in the league for 2 months and only lost once since boxing day

I know it was awful and we want to forget it, but the WBA defeat was exactly a month ago I'm afraid.

Typical head-in-the-sand attitude from the RCDNW brigade

Carragher had no inolvment in the goals yesterday, so why do you criticize him in that context?
Johnson definately at fault for the second goal because of the slip when he could have put in a block but Agger and Carra definately at fault for the equaliser. You mean to tell me the ball clears two centre backs and it's Johnson's fault who is positioned behind them?

Classic me. I missed that one when looking through the fixtures and results.

There were 3 spurs players and 3 lfc players in the box, both Agger and Carra covers their man and the ball passes over then with neither the spurs of lfc players getting to the ball. The ball passes to Vertonghen that is not even challenged by Johnson. So yes, IMO it's his fault for lack of marking.

Is Carragher supposed to skip his man and walk back to mark Vertonghen? Or reach a ball not reachable by him or the Spurs player he is marking?

                  * Luis Suarez has now scored nine goals in the Premier League 2013; two more than any other player.
                  * The Reds have won three games in a row (all competitions) for the first time this season.
                  * Jamie Carragher made his 500th league appearance for Liverpool.

Plus I think Suarez scored his 50th Premier League goal?

It was his 50th for Liverpool I think.

                      Correct. 37 in the league.

Ah gotcha. I'm off to see the 50 and 100 league goals charts for Liverpool!

The ball clears them (Agger and Carra) put it this way, if Sami was in the back line would the ball have reached Jonhson? If we are going to defend deep (to negate Bale) then we should be clearing everything in the air other wise we may as well have held a high line to push the Spurs attackers out of our box.

Torres also scored his 50th Liverpool goal against Tottenham!

It also clears the two spurs players they were marking, how are they supposed to clear a ball that goes over all of them? How would Sami have cleared that if he was responsible for marking the player either Agger or Carra had? And it's really a counterfactual argument not really suited for any real answer - how would anyone know what would have happened if Sami was there?

It's a good cross hitting Vertonghen who goes up unchallenged by Johnson that let's his man slip. It's man marking in the box there, and you can't blame a person that is not responsible for marking the free player. It's that simple to me. In reality Bale should have been closed down earlier, that's the first fault and secondly it's Johnson for not staying with his man.

A very good result, we were outplayed for large parts of the game but we took our chances and they didn't - how many times have we seen the reverse of this in the last few years?

At times I thought there were similarities between how Spurs were playing and how Rafa used to set us up - it seems AVB is a better manager than many of us gave him credit for (after his doomed spell at Chelsea).
