We've been ****e under high balls into the box all season, regardless of who's at centre back. Spurs knew we were ****e in that department so they slung both centre backs up at every opportunity and got two goals from it.

EDIT:-just seen the U21's conceded from 3 corners today,it must run through the club!

9 Games left...Cant see us getting top four and its a shame we started the season so badly.

Negativity aside though there are real signs we are heading forwards rather than backwards, at the start of the season we struggled to get goals, now we are getting them more consistently with other names than Suarez on the score sheet. The signings we have made are looking good and even our weakest players are making a contribution.

This year I would just take running the top four close and improving on last seasons league finish and making 3/4 new signings possibly a experienced player as well to help the young lads along, I questioned FSGs transfer policy and the need for such a small squad but they are holding their own at the moment thats for sure.

I think this is why we struggle sometimes when it comes to playing "weaker" teams. Our inability to defend against a long ball or cross usually ends up being our Achilles heel, meaning that we don't get the rewards we deserve out of the game.

Something that we definitely need to sort out if we have aspirations of 4th place and above.

Most of us would have taken that at the start of the season. I don't think anybody here has overly unrealistic expectations (although we can still dream of a top four finish as long as it's still mathematically possible?). I just wanted to see improvement on the field and to see us get some decent results, move much nearer to the top of the table than the bottom. We're starting to see that now and hopefully we can maintain this current momentum.

I totally agree with this. I may have written a few overly optimistic posts but they're just for fun.Realistically I wanted to see progress in terms of player quality and playing style.

It looks like Rodgers has delivered so far and his next challenges are to improve our first team defence, squad quality (and 2nd keeper!) and keep Suarez.

If we can do that and maintain some form then we should be able to challenge for top 4 next season.

All this new found optimism can only mean one thing. We'll lose against Southampton.
                Oh I don't know.

What if we don't? We'll lose the game after that?

I hate it when we expect to lose, let's change our mindset and expect to win!

Haha. You've missed the point, again, but never mind. I'm going to bed.

He didn't swear. I rewound that bit as well because I thought I heard it but when you listen closely he does not swear at all. Says something like 'woof'
