Coutinho hasn't been that bad. Lucas and the rest of the performance i tend to agree with.

Couple quick questions

What happened with downing

Was it a pen for Suarez?

Downing was **** and injured, there was no pen (you mean Johnson though?)

I think the problem we have in games like this is that we don't really have many players capable of coming from midfield and hitting one in from the edge of the box. Gerrard is the obvious one, but Lucas isn't that kind of player, Henderson had the effort just before half time but he didn't look as if he wanted to hit it. In these types of games West Ham will defend deep and not allow us in behind them so the threat has to come from elsewhere, and I don't think we have that at the moment.

I haven't seen any of the match yet so I can't pass much knowledge, but reading through the thread seems to suggest that most of our decent play was coming through Coutinho.

Maybe it's the whole teams that needs to step it up.

Not sure which incident you mean for Suarez (Johnson had a claim which IMO was a foul, but outside the box)
