I'm happy for Rodgers to stay and progress.

But for me last season was much better than this. I'm old fashioned I like winning things. We won one and got ****ing close to another. Our cup runs had a part to play in our dire league form post Christmas. Had Suarez had his shooting boots on last season, we could have been 4th. No real progress has been made. Yet.

      If you're a Chelsea fan.
      Oh I don't know.

Last year we had two cup runs and we were so unlucky in some games. How many times did we hit the post, how many penalty misses etc?

We're a win and draw better. People (probably rightfully) claim we were dog awful last year, are we really that much better this year?
        We come not to play.

I think that as much as their keeper had a good game, our strikers were poor in front of goal. We lack that clinical ability in front of goal. I also think we lack options, in the last couple of games it has been obvious from the 60minute mark (or before) that we weren't going to score. I think we need another striking option, someone who can offer something different, as much as I don't like saying it I think letting Carroll go out on loan was a mistake, I don't think he's a great player or anymore clinical in front of goal, but offering something different could be enough to make the difference in games like todays and last weeks
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Calling our manager for under a year a championship manager is an embarrassment and Chelsea fanesque as it gets.
Don't be silly, lots of teams get results like this .

            Seriously, think before you post.

Agree. No is the answer. King Kenny should never have been sacked. Seriously. But this has to work under Brenda it has to.

                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The numbers show we have progressed (slightly!)

I've been posting tongue in cheek a bit as the knee jerk responses to not winning is ludicrous.

I'm not really that arsed by the results...season for finished weeks ago..we had a little glimmer after beating spurs going into the weekend where Everton played city and we played Southampton

Once that weekend went against it we had nothing to play for.

Part of me so glad that we have had so many games like this, when we haven't been on contention for anything...imagine how frustrating the last two results would have been if we were in the top 4

It's same old...possession and chances but no end result

All season I've been moaning saying we are desperate for a beast in midfield (something I still think we need) plus we need at least one top class centre half

However we also defo need a different type of striker, someone who always seems to get his arse on the end of a cross at the back post etc

Just want this season to end now....only think left to shout about is beating Everton in the league for a bit of pride, cause we defo won't catch them

                        Meh
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

We did win a trophy and the final of another. To say this season is an improvement is stretching imagination a little. I didn't expect the title or even top 4, but 7 th and nothing else is a very very poor season., worse than last.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.
