So who do you replace Rodgers with?Originally posted by marksared View PostSeriously though whos hanging themselves? Some of us just dont feel like Rodgers is up to the job and dont fancy going through another sesson of little or no progress.
And if that fella doesn't provide immediate success, who do we turn to then?

No, it wasn't. But it wasn't built by the apprentice either.Originally posted by elrichio86 View PostI've not seen anybody who says this is good enough.
What most people can see is that we are just at the beginning of a project that will take at least a couple of seasons to bear fruit. As Mr M says above, Rome wasn't built in a day...Rome wasn't built in a day, but it wasn't built by the apprentice either.

It wasn't a dig. I just think there is a collective group that seem to pull rank and react en mass when people criticise. It may be reactionary of people to go over the top re today's result, but in reality its been a season of frustration, in fact many seasons, and some peoples patience has gone.Originally posted by Chazza View PostAt the same token so what if people think Rodgers might be steering the ship in the right direction? So what right? It's a forum and differing views make it what it is.
I am not sold on Rodgers but I don't hang myself every time we don't win a game.
Personally I take offence to people telling me almost as a fact set in stone that this season is better than last. I enjoyed last season more. Maybe because I like Dalglish more than Rodgers, maybe because we won something, many reasons. I have zero faith in Rodgers, I have nothing to base it on, but I think we should 100% stick with him, we have to hope it comes good. We're definitely prettier to watch, but I see more arsenal in us than utd. One style wings trophies, one doesn't. I want to like Rodgers but he's hard to take to. Anyway next season will be better. Hopefully.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

I dont think it matters what "some of us" think. It wasnt Rodgers fault that McCarthy would have saved Gotham city todayOriginally posted by marksared View PostSeriously though whos hanging themselves? So chopping and changing every season is the future?
You post a lot of negativity but don't seem to have anything constructive to say?
What would you do in this situation?

But he IS a Championship level manager. His career has been spent in the Championship, aside from a season with Swansea and one with us. Just because he's a Premier League manager doesn't mean he's at a Premier League level. If you give a droid a lightsaber, does it make it a Jedi? No.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostWell calling our manager a championship level manager is certainly having a low dig.Rome wasn't built in a day, but it wasn't built by the apprentice either.

Lots of facts, but then it's your inferences that are dense.Originally posted by marksared View PostA draw away to the team at the bottom of the table..its interesting to see that the sensible people on here share your point of view
Nice excuse we where away from home unfortunately thats unacceptable in my book.
The facts are clear we fielded a side 15 times the value of the opposition, that team should have wiped the floor with Reading.
To have such a level of disgust based on an individual league result in isolation is ridiculous. People are capable of more nuanced thought and emotion beyond calling something acceptable versus unacceptable. Just because people aren't in hysterics like you doesn't mean they are happy with the result.Like blood on iron

I'm frustrated about today - more so than last week - but you've got to be objective and look at the season as a whole. Reacting with raw emotion is understandable and I understand that emotion stays with others longer, but it's Rodgers' first year.Originally posted by mulvokop View Postsorry muddled u are living up to your name can you not see what happened today same as last week and then Rodgers press conference saying that not getting in Europe is a good thing what effect does that have on players this guy is a phoney and as much as I'd love to be proved wrong he has to go

I'll ask this again to somebody else: You want Rodgers gone - ok, who do you want to replace him and how long do you give that manager?
