For any South Africans on the forum, this game is about to be confirmed - 21 May 2013 kick off 8pm local time (7pm UK time). Tickets will probably go on sale, (and go quickly) next week some time...
LFC haven't been here for nearly 20 years so it's long overdue!

Not good news for the South African reds.

Liverpool Football Club recently accepted an invitation from the City of Cape Town to play a fixture against Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday, May 21.

This post-season fixture represented an opportunity for the club to visit supporters in South Africa for the first time in 19 years. Regrettably, the South Africa Premier Soccer League has decided that this match cannot now be played on this date and have subsequently advised Ajax Cape Town that this fixture should be cancelled.

We are hugely disappointed that we are unable to visit and the team cannot play in front of our terrific supporters.

Moreover, we are saddened that we cannot at this time undertake the community and grassroots activities we had planned as part of our visit to South Africa.
