In all honesty i think its better that we're not in the Europa next season. We just need to concentrate on making the CL next year, and possibly a good FA Cup run.

I'm not sure, I think its a good competition for a team in our position.

We get to give Sterling, Shelvey and Suso a run out in the group stages like this year and we can take the league cup a bit less seriously with it dropping down our list of priorities.

Get past the group stage and you can get some great nights at Anfield like Zenit this year.

So are we looking good for entry via Fair Play or not? If not what has to change?

... in all honesty I have no idea what the situation currently is

Depends on where the premier league stands in the European ratings but I have no idea how to find it out, had no look after a quick search.

If the premier league is in the top 3 leagues and we're the best placed, non-qualified team in the league then we'll get in.

That's basically what I think people on here have worked out anyway

There are three places in the UEFA Europa League available: the FA Cup winners will enter at the Group Stage; the fifth place team in the Barclays Premier League will enter at the Play-Off stage; and the Football League Cup winners will enter at the Q3 stage.

In the event the FA Cup winners are qualified for the UEFA Champions League the FA Cup runners-up will qualify, but in the place reserved for the lowest ranking Barclays Premier League representative. The place with direct access to the Group Stage will be given to the club that finishes in the highest position in the Barclays Premier League of the clubs qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.

English winners of the UEFA Europa League will enter at the Group Stage, gaining an extra domestic place only if they fail to qualify through other means for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. If the holders of the UEFA Europa League have already qualified for Europe, no extra domestic place will be gained.

Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League.

Fair Play winners enter at the Qualifying round 1 stage.
This place will automatically go the three best-placed national associations in the UEFA Respect fair play rankings provided they achieve an average of 8.0 points or more. The top three associations will then be entitled to enter the club that has either won their domestic top-division fair play competition, or if they are already qualified, the runners-up and so forth.
Please note that the above is purely a guide to the qualification procedure at present. From time to time other scenarios may occur which could mean that the above procedures may need to be reviewed.

UEFA announced earlier this season that NO additional place would be given.

If he stays then he will be doing pre-season training later than the other players because he will play in the confederations cup this summer.

He will rest a couple of weeks after the CC and after that pre-season training. He would probably missed the first few games of the season even if he wasn't banned because of the above.

It would be wonderfully ironic for us to awarded the fair play place

Brazil will of course also play in the CC so Coutinho could be on the same schedule as Suarez if he play and it is a big risk that he will do it the way he play now.
