No ****ing execuse for that performance following on so closely from the shame of OT. It may be mental, if it is it shows whar a feeble minded bunch they can be, only carra seems to have been affceted by it.

Have we lost some pride and passion in the jersey? I see the likes of Pennant and Gonzo stroll around the pitch we no urgency at all with a total lack of passion to win if we had a team of passion full of Carra's Kuyt's and Stevie when he's in the mood
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........
Well the move that led to Crouch's disallowed goal was actually pretty slick. We are still capable of it.
If he could just leave the ball alone in those situations
He`s done that a couple of times now. If he`d looked around he would have seen the unmarkd player coming in behind him.

It strikes me that way too. At 2-0 down we were stroking the ball around at the back without urgency, just like at Man Utd, as if we were strolling to victory not defeat.
There's just not enough hurt.
Pennant and Gonzales are obvious ones to point at in that regard (I personally feel that Pennant "made it" in his own mind at 15 and has never really been a good pro ever since) but they are certainly not alone.
This is a team problem.
We could pick out the obvious strollers, but what is more telling is to pick out the ones who were obviously hurting and riled at what was going on.
Its hard to come up with a long list isn't it. Those who aren't on it are just as guilty as the strollers.
I think it is a misinterpretation of what we were aiming to do. If you can keep the ball for a while then you get confidence. The problem is we failed to use the ball well enough after having kept it for a while. Players looked like they lacked the confidence to do somethng with it.
Despite all the flak he has got the only player who tried anything was Pennant - who twice took on his man and got in a good cross. Unfortunately he also went on daft runs infield and lost the ball too much and in general made a lot of poor decisions.

Are you blaming Pennant for the 61 minutes he was on the bench?
Quite honestly he was the only one who looked like making something happen when he came on.

and did actually create a cross for a goal which should have stood, almost a carbon copy of the move in the euro qualifier as well, with Bellamy. I still think there's hope for them, as we perked up a bit when they came on in reality.

The thing is by the time they came on we'd all lost the will to live
