    It's time for a change Senor Benitez

    It's abovious that the only way we can get anything away from home is to switch to 3-5-2 formation. Agger starts with JC & SH.
    Keep SG, XA in the middle alongside Zenden, Finnan on the right, Gonzalez on the left. Kuyt with Bellamy up front.
    Crouch is not performing in the Prem and slowly falling into the same trap Cisse fell into last season...scoring goals against smaller opposition but nothing against the big clubs.
    I believe if we go 3-5-2 from now on away from home we will pick up more points.

    Whaddya think ?

    Not a bad idea.
    I`d have Agger in the middle as he`s the one with speed.
    But I would have Riise instead of Gonzo, he`s made for that position.

      No, Bellamy is in terrible form at the moment.

      I'd stick with 4-4-2, 3-5-2 can is only effective in one off games.

      Instead I'd be looking to bring Agger and Garcia in to the side. I'd also play Anderson in the next league cup game with a view to at least having him on the bench.

        Resu, I forgot about Riise. YEH he would be ahead of Gonzo. I've still got the Monday morning blues.

          I think we have a good enough squad to adapt playing 2 differnet systems. Bellamy can create more than Crouch away from home especially if he get on Kuyt knock downs. Garcia away from home is a liability sometimes.

            Garcia can be a liability either home or away. However, unlike Gonzales and Pennant he has at least shown some decent form of late. If only we could find a way of giving Kewell some pace.

                It is actually very interesting how much worse we do when we don't have the Kewell of last season or the Garcia of this on the left to balance Stevie. I think that their intelligent switching is actually key to making Stevie effective in the free role from the right.

                I also think it helps that Gerrard appears to respect the threat they provide and so doesn't try as hard to make things happen on their side, meaning we keep our shape much better.

                    I'd have Garcia in the team ahead of Pennant, Gonzales, Zenden and Bellamy.

                    We definitely need Agger in the side.

                      Anderson is youngster with hardly any experience in the PREM, why should Rafa start him. I fhe struggles his confidence will be shot to bits. This is the time to catch up not to try news youngsters in the starting 11.

                        I agree, after suffering through yesterday's game, I think a change is needed.

                        I'd be all for 3-5-2, I'd stick with Crouch ahead of Bellamy, and defintely play JAR on the left.

                        I'm so disappointed so far with Bellamy, Pennant and Gonzalez.

                          Obviously Sissoko is out until the new year, so I'd like to see Stevie move infield - wouldn't we all - with Gonzalez coming in on the left, and Garcia going right.

                          I've already had enough of Pennant and Bellamy. What are the two worst things in football?

                          Answer; a striker who can't score and a winger who can't cross.

                            Switching to a back three for anything other than the opposition team's circumstances warranting it would be suicide IMO. We're already shaky defensively, why add to the uncertainty? We need to get back to basics, get ourselves defending well as a unit, give our midfield and forward players well defined roles and just try to play some simple pass and move. I don't see how changing to 3-5-2 helps us at all.

                            Agree Agger and Garcia should be playing more.

                              Agree with most of that. Although (and you're not going to like this one bit ) I think Pennant can be a great crosser of the ball. I actually think he's slowly but surely improving for us too. He was actually not bad at all for us when he came on at Arse. With Sissoko injured I'd have Pennant on the right with SG back in the middle. Garcia on the left for home and Euro games, otherwise Gonzalez.
