Think we'll regret selling Shelvey too, if we let him go this summer.

McManaman has a bit of a bad habit that's not very well hidden when he goes out. I'd stay well clear to be honest.

Capel I don't really rate, he's been a pretty much **** at Sporting.

Begovic and Papadopolous are the caliber of player we should be looking at but I'm a bit unsure if we'll get either tbh they could be a bit pricey.

I'd like to see Digne come in but wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers looks at Taylor.

And I think Shelvey should be sold ASAP, the lad plays like his boots are made out of concrete - a powerful shot on him but absolutely zero pace or finesse, actually now that I think of it he plays like his brains are made out of concrete too.

Surely a young LB would provide cover for Enrique, not replace him? He can be quite frustrating but I think it would be a mistake to let him go and don’t think we will.

I also think it would be foolish to sell Shelvey, even if I don’t know where he’ll fit in next year. I don’t think he’s half as slow as people make out and is a very gifted footballer. Even if BR doesn’t see him in his long term plans, I think a season long loan would add a few million to any potential fee.

Agreed, he is still only very young and has shown glimpses of what he can do. Writing him off right now seems and like reactionary.

Enrique is decent although inconsistent. Shelvey should be loaned out IMO.

But he's not going to get a run of games here is he ? He can play either CM or AM, both those positions are taken by Gerrard and Coutinho, 2 players Shelvey isn't going to replace in the starting 11, we also have no Europa football next season which means even less opportunities for him.
Best to sell now for him and us I'd say.

Why does he need a run of games? He is young, we are better off easing him in.

He needs games to progress as a footballer. He's 21, an age where he needs to be playing regular competitive football. Sitting on the bench, which he will be... is absolutely useless for him.

He should be loaned out, at the very least if he improves he'll command a better transfer fee if we want to get rid.
