Looks like Sturridge is taking the piss out of Hendo there. Nice to see smiling faces at training.

Hope they aren't fielding a reserve type line up, we need a team that can have a go against us before the season starts.

Too right. We need a hard hit out alright.

I would assume we will start with our strongest team as it's the last pre-season game.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'd have definitely thought so, maybe just 1 or 2 differences depending on fitness. I fully expect Joe Allen to have somehow taken over Henderson for the 3rd CM spot though, without actually doing much at all. IMO it should be Henderson's going into the season based on league form until Allen proves otherwise. Rodgers man though so probably always likely to happen.

7 of the first XI haven't travelled for Celtic apparently. Mind you, they were hopeless in midweek, so it's not saying much.

Very weak side, which should go down well with the crowd.

Shame really, I just hope it doesn't cost us come next weekend, its a big step up from what we've played against to any PL side we play against.

Nothing worse than needing 2 or 3 league games to get going, no excuse for it really when you look at some of the games other clubs have played.

why is this in the off-field section

Oh and if celtic are fielding a weakened team and we pump them then it can only do further good for confidence. We have had a good summer already, in previous years we have played tough games and struggled and then went into the season with little confidence

Downing is playing which is a bit weird if he is off to West Ham.

if he agreed to take pay cut should we keep him on ? instead of his 90k per week if he accepts 60k ?

LFC subs: Jones, Alberto, Assaidi, Henderson, Sturridge, Coates, Borini, Sterling, Kelly, Flanagan, Ibe
Sturridge on the bench, hopefully he gets a good run out.
