Who's To Blame For The Season So Far?

A lot of mixed opinions so far ie it's rafas fault for his tactics/team line ups/positions, it;s gerrard fault for his form, it's the boards fault for cash restrictions/not allowing certain investors/only allowing a certain amount on one player etc etc etc etc....

Just wondering what the general opinion is....

    Everything:

The board for not stumping up the necessary cash
The woefull form of the team in general
Rafa for not being able to sort out our appaling slump

We need money at the end of the day, so i'm going to say the board is at fault, but i don't know the ins and outs of the club so it's hard to say

Aye I'd agree with that, but if we were being pernickety and had to say one, I'd go for the players. If Alonso, Gerrard, Carra, Finnan, Reina and more of our top performers last season had played to anything like the level we know they can, we wouldn't have half the problems. I honestly believe that. Simply, we've got too many players grossly out of form.

let's not compound the problems by looking to place the blame publicly.

            Good post mr Manson

Calm down Charles - the intention was to see where most people thought it was going wrong. No one ever suggested signing a petition and presenting it in public with a view to causing as much humiliation as possible!!!

Aye, a fair point. However, the buck stops with the manager for me.

Yesterday was a great example, he simply had to play five across the middle for me. He had no gameplan for Fabregas and they duly pissed all over us - i seen it coming in the first five minutes - the pockets of space that Cesc found then worried the bejesus outta me.

But then the players have been woefully short of form. We've also have had some of the hardest away games in quite some time, or is that grasping at straws.

I think it is Bob mate,I understand the run of away games we've had hasn't helped, but the problems were there for to see from the 1st day of the season.

We were rank against Shef Utd nad have'nt improved away since.

I think Rafa must take his share of the blame although clearly the form of alot of the players hasn't helped.

Not even all of them were at the WC!!

And if I hear "Gerrard in the middle" one more ****ing time!!
You'd swear that it's the only problem we have!!

I blame Rafa to be honest. Don't get me wrong, everything is not down to him but as the boss he must carry the can. He picks the team, chooses tactics & motivates the players. If we were 5 points clear at the top of the table I'd credit Rafa with the achievement rather than the players. The same must therefore apply when things go wrong.

                            The buck stops at Rafa.

If players aren't performing - he should get them to perform.
If the team isn't gelling - he should get the team to gell.
                            If the team lacks fight (mentality) - he should demand they fight;
If the team selection is wrong - he should get it right.
If the tactics are wrong - he should get it right.

Sorry but I don't buy this 'not enough cash from the board'. We bought Pennant and Bellamy for a combined £11.8m. We also bought Kuyt ofr probably £9m plus. Kuyt appears to be worth the cash but Rafa chose to buy Pennant and Bellers. The Cisse injury obviously played a part but he picks the players to buy.
